My first blog

Hello readers of my blog, today I going to write my last post in this blog and could be the last post in a blog in all my life.
I created and started to write this blog at begining of the semester. This blog was my first blog in my life so I never will forget it.
The experience with my blog was special, I had never written about my thinking, tastes or about my family so  I do somethings different and was good, no amazing, just good.
This blog help me to train and improve my english. In the school I was a regular student in English and I never had the opcion to write about some topics who I like. I only wrote what my teacher said and wrote on blackboard. I must to say that this blog really help to practice the writing in English.
I think that the work in blog have more pros than cons. The pros of the blog are:

  • Practic your writing in english.
  • Learn in practice the vocabulary in some topics.
  • Write what you think.
And the cons are the students who don't do the activities, because this instrument is perfect to train the writing.

Famine

Hello everyone today I'm going to talk about Famine, because some days ago I  watched a documentary on TV about an African family who suffers. Because of famine, they need to walk long distances to give food and water to their children and animals. It is for this that I want you to know or have any notions about these realities.

Famine is a serious problem that is defined as the lack of food and resources in a specific population, region or geographical zone. This problem has direct relation with poverty and underdevelopment.

Also, famine is caused by many reasons like lack of resources in the region, inability of governments to improve the distribution, social chaos, economic and social exploitation exercised by other people or country, natural disasters, leaving the rest of the world’s nations behind.
Today in the world, around 24,000 people die every day because of famine or causes related to famine, and 75% of the deaths are children under five. An estimated 800 million people in the world suffer from hunger and malnutrition. Many experts believe that education is the best way to reduce hunger.
I hope you can see a problem like this with the seriousness and respect that it is needed.
See you later in the next post.

Vacations

Hello everyone, today I want to share with you the next photograph:

This photograph was taken in February 2011 during my vacation with my family on Lican Ray (on the shores of Lake Calafquen). Technically, nobody take this photograph because we put the camera on a rock so that nobody will stay out.
In this photograph appears my family. From right to left, appears my big brothers (Gonzalo) my mom (Ruth) my sister (Natalia) my father (Ricardo) and me (Alvaro).
I like this photograph because it was taken at a special time for my family, 3 days ago my parents had been completed 25 years of marriage, my brother had graduated from his career and was now a professional chef and I recently knew that I would study at the University of Chile. Was a great moment and good family vacations. This photo captures one of the best vacation we ever had family and the last trip we made together in family.
