My first blog

Hello readers of my blog, today I going to write my last post in this blog and could be the last post in a blog in all my life.
I created and started to write this blog at begining of the semester. This blog was my first blog in my life so I never will forget it.
The experience with my blog was special, I had never written about my thinking, tastes or about my family so  I do somethings different and was good, no amazing, just good.
This blog help me to train and improve my english. In the school I was a regular student in English and I never had the opcion to write about some topics who I like. I only wrote what my teacher said and wrote on blackboard. I must to say that this blog really help to practice the writing in English.
I think that the work in blog have more pros than cons. The pros of the blog are:

  • Practic your writing in english.
  • Learn in practice the vocabulary in some topics.
  • Write what you think.
And the cons are the students who don't do the activities, because this instrument is perfect to train the writing.

Famine

Hello everyone today I'm going to talk about Famine, because some days ago I  watched a documentary on TV about an African family who suffers. Because of famine, they need to walk long distances to give food and water to their children and animals. It is for this that I want you to know or have any notions about these realities.

Famine is a serious problem that is defined as the lack of food and resources in a specific population, region or geographical zone. This problem has direct relation with poverty and underdevelopment.

Also, famine is caused by many reasons like lack of resources in the region, inability of governments to improve the distribution, social chaos, economic and social exploitation exercised by other people or country, natural disasters, leaving the rest of the world’s nations behind.
Today in the world, around 24,000 people die every day because of famine or causes related to famine, and 75% of the deaths are children under five. An estimated 800 million people in the world suffer from hunger and malnutrition. Many experts believe that education is the best way to reduce hunger.
I hope you can see a problem like this with the seriousness and respect that it is needed.
See you later in the next post.

Vacations

Hello everyone, today I want to share with you the next photograph:

This photograph was taken in February 2011 during my vacation with my family on Lican Ray (on the shores of Lake Calafquen). Technically, nobody take this photograph because we put the camera on a rock so that nobody will stay out.
In this photograph appears my family. From right to left, appears my big brothers (Gonzalo) my mom (Ruth) my sister (Natalia) my father (Ricardo) and me (Alvaro).
I like this photograph because it was taken at a special time for my family, 3 days ago my parents had been completed 25 years of marriage, my brother had graduated from his career and was now a professional chef and I recently knew that I would study at the University of Chile. Was a great moment and good family vacations. This photo captures one of the best vacation we ever had family and the last trip we made together in family.

Hello everyone, today I going to talk about what I see on TV.
When I was a child a just watched on TV cartoons, all the day. But when I grow up I started to watch sports, movies and series. In fact, in the last three years I've started to watch on TV a lot of this series from WB, BBC, Sony, Fox and so on, generally from USA.
The first serie who I saw was The simpsons an american animated sitcom created by Matt Groening for the Fox about a typical american family bad influence and his adventures, but now I don't like because repeat his chapter all the day in Fox and also in Canal 13.
Then I started to see Friends, an american sitcom who revolves around a group of friends in Manhattan. Today still repeat his chapter on Warner Channel and sometimes I watch this series.
Other of the series who I saw was Lost, That 70's show, Family Guy, The OC, South Park, Two and a Half, American Dad and so on. But the serie who I consider the best is How I Met Your Mother, this serie follows the social and romantic lives of Ted Mosby (Josh Radnor) and his friends Marshall Eriksen (Jason Segel), Robin Scherbatsky (Cobie Smulders), Lily Aldrin (Alyson Hannigan) and Barney Stinson (Neil Patrick Harris). Using voiceover narration by Bob Saget, in the year 2030 recounts to his son and his daughter the events that led to his meeting their mother.
How you can see, I watch a lot of programme on TV, and now also I see series from Internet, sometimes I think that I should see less TV programme, but I like it.
If you want to see on Internet any serie I chare tis page: http://mirahimym.com/index.php
I hope you like this. Bye bye.

The piece of technology that I use more

Hi everyone, today I should talk about my favourite piece of technology, but I don`t have a favourite piece of technology. So I'll write about the piece of technology that I use more.
The piece of technology that I use more is my mp3 that my sister gave me in Christmas. Before, I used the Gonzalo's mp3 (my old brother) but it was marred.
Now, I use my mp3 to listen to my favourite music, transport files and photos. And I use my mp3 when I going out and when I go to class, so I use to use everyday, all the week. But in my home I don't use it because I have the laptop who replaces his role (listen to music).
I like my mp3 because is very practical and comfortable to transport, so I can listen to my favourite music anywhere.
My life without my mp3 would be equal, but my travels in Transantiago would be bored. This caused me to think in the dependence that the people have in the technological advances. Now, the people give a big importance to the technological advances in his life and I think that this is terrible because they debt to buy the I-phone or a I-pad for example and we don't think about the more important problem. We have to change this situation and no depend all our life in the technology.

A Great Chilean Band

Hello everyone, today I'll talk about my favorite band. My favorite band is a Chilean rock band originally from the city of Concepción, his name is "Los Bunkers". "Los Bunkers" were born in 1999 and are composed for 5 members; Alvaro López is the vocalist, Gonzalo López in bass, Francisco Durán in guitar, keyboard and choir, Mauricio Durán in guitar and choir and finally Mauricio Basualto in drums.

"Los Bunkers" play a contemporary rock and including folk roots from Chile and Latin American. And I like this band because they are great musicians, they've created incredible songs since his beginnings, and also they've including traditional folk songs in his music, for example they collaborated with the tribute to Violeta Parra or doing cover of Víctor Jara and Silvio Rodriguez. I like this combination between the contemporary rock and the folk roots.

My favorite songs are “Ven Aquí” and "Canción Para Mañana" because these two songs show the talent to create and play songs to big level, showing that in Chile is possible that exist band who are at the level of global rock.

My Autobiography
